Nicola Daley is an award-winning Cinematographer.
Most recently Nicola has won the best Cinematography award at the 2009 WOW film festival in Sydney for the short film 'The Party Shoes'. In 2008 Nicola won the Fuji Film Flickerfest award for best Cinematography for the Screen Australia short film 'Play'. In 2006 Nicola was awarded the Best Student Cinematography Award at the National Australian Cinematographers' Society Awards for the short film 'Debut'. She worked on the 2007 Oscar nominated film 'The Saviour'. In 2005 she was awarded the AFTRS High Achievement Award in Cinematography and she shot the 2005 Tropfest winning film 'Australian Summer'. Nicola has won numerous Gold ACS awards for her drama work which has been shown at various prestigious film festivals globally. Her work was also invited to be screened at the world renowned Cinematography film festival - Camerimage in Poland in 2005.
Nicola moved from England to Sydney in 1999. Since then she has worked at rental house Lemac Film and Video for three years, where she was involved with the technical side of cameras. She was accepted into the prestigious Australian Film, TV and Radio School in 2003 where she completed a Masters in Cinematography.
Nicola has experience with film , video and HD, and in all areas from music videos to drama to documentary. Recently she has shot her first feature film 'Girl Clock' and is working alongside some of Australia's most renowned documentarians.
